Customer Story

What happened in our chapter's first month on ChapterAgent.

100 Black Men of Greater DFW went live on ChapterAgent at the start of July 2026. Within the first month: mentoring-program signups nearly quadrupled, membership applications went from mostly-missed to 100% fielded, and three subscriptions got cancelled. This is a first-hand account — told by a member who lived the before.

The chapter

100 Black Men of Greater DFW is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) chapter of 100 Black Men of America. Its officers are executives, educators, and professionals who run the chapter on nights and weekends. The program calendar is real work: the Saturday Leadership Program (the chapter's flagship youth mentoring program), a financial-literacy investment program for students, an annual golf tournament that funds it all, member meetings, elections, and community events.

Three years of the usual chaos

I've been a member for three years. Our operational life will sound familiar to anyone who has held a chapter office:

None of this was anyone's failure. It's what happens when an all-volunteer organization runs on tools built for someone else.

The first month, in numbers

We went live at the beginning of July 2026. These are the results from the first month — measured, not projected:

9 → 35
Saturday Leadership Program signups
Nearly 4x in one marketing push — parent interest fielded automatically, every mentoring-committee member watching applications arrive in real time
100%
Membership applications fielded
Up from ~10% timely follow-up — every inquiry is acknowledged and visible to the committee the moment it arrives
$98/mo
Subscriptions retired
GoHighLevel CRM ($50/mo) and two Wix websites ($24/mo each) — cancelled. ≈ $1,176/year back to the mission
2
Events planned, marketed & run
With seamless check-in that distinguishes members from interested guests — prospect follow-up starts at the door

Alongside the numbers: this spring's incoming member class was onboarded onto the platform with committee assignments and participation tracking the chapter had never had before — who's engaged, who's drifting, visible instead of anecdotal.

What made the difference

The platform matters less than the shape of it. Nobody in our chapter left the group chat to go do data entry in a portal — that step is exactly where every previous tool died. With ChapterAgent, an officer describes what needs to happen, the agent drafts it — the broadcast, the event page, the minutes — and an officer approves it before anything goes out. The work gets done in the gaps of a volunteer's day, not in a Sunday-night admin session.

And the chapter finally has one system of record. Applications, events, dues, minutes, committee rosters — when officers rotate at the next election, the chapter's memory stays.

What's next

Disclosure: ChapterAgent was built inside this chapter. I'm a three-year member of 100 Black Men of Greater DFW and the founder of ChapterAgent — the platform exists because our chapter needed it. That's also why the numbers above are first-hand: I'm reporting our own chapter's first month, not a customer survey. Read it with that context.
